This activity took place within the framework of the 2-year scientific meeting of the association of all world-class Menopause organizations, IMS, of which the Indonesian Menopause Association (Perminesia) is also a member.
USU Public Relations - Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist Study Program and Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, USU Faculty of Medicine, was honored with the election of 2 PPDS participants as winners of the IMS Young Scholars Bursary Award. One of them has the right to represent Indonesia to compete in the Olympics from the International Menopause Society which will hold the 18th World Congress in Lisbon, Portugal, October 26-29 next week.
Of the 4 PPDS whose names were sent by Prof. Dr. dr. Fidel Ganis Siregar M.Ked(OG) SpOG Subsp.FER as research supervisors for the 4 PPDS, each of them was dr. Andita Namira Sitompul, dr. Muhammad Fariz Saleh, dr. Immanuel Dio L. Tobing, dr. Nevino Fachry, finally 2 of them managed to become 10 winners out of 50 participants who entered the final from hundreds of member countries of the International Menopause Federation who sent their representatives.
The winner has the honor of being the chairman of the session of several activities as well as a nominal prize in the form of Pondsterling. They are Dr. Immanuel Dio L Tobing and Dr. M Fariz Saleh, and Dr. Immanuel will also represent Indonesia in the Olympic games at the World Congress.

In this IMS World Congress Prof. Fidel Ganis Siregar was invited to attend as President of the Asia Pacific Menopause Federation (APMF) which has permanent members from 14 countries throughout the Asia Pacific including Australia. Meanwhile, PB Perminesia sent the Secretary General, Dr. Achmad Mediana, SpOG, to represent the President of Perminesia, Dr. Dr. Tita Husnitawati, SpOG, Subsp.FER.
The departure of the USU Medical Faculty Obgin PPDS, which is also a member of the North Sumatra branch of Perminesia as a representative of Indonesia, was also verbally conveyed by Prof Fidel Ganis Siregar as their supervisor to the Dean of USU Medical Faculty Prof. Aldy Rambe SpS(K) and USU Rector Dr Muryanto Amin MSi. It is planned that upon their return the group from Lisbon will report all activities and meet the Dean and Rector. (©ULC)
