"For the USU FMIPA Master of Chemistry Study Program to produce achievement results with constructive ideas from assessors, which will help us to improve our performance and service, several aspects of the Master's Program in Chemistry need to be reviewed as soon as possible," said USU Vice Chancellor IV for Information, Planning, and Development.
USU PR: Natural Sciences and Formal Sciences Self-Accreditation Agency (LAMSAMA) conducted a field evaluation of the Master of Chemistry Study Program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). Thursday, September 2, 2023, in the Multipurpose Room of FMIPA USU, the Vice Rector IV for Information, Planning, and Development of USU launched the field assessment. A team of assessors comprising Prof. Dr. Didik Prasetyoko, M.Sc, and Prof. Dr. Dra. Dyah Iswantini Pradono, M.Sc, attended the field assessment of the USU chemistry master's degree program.
In his remarks, USU Vice Chancellor IV for Information, Planning, and Development Prof. Dr. Drs. Opim Salim Sitompul M.Sc stated that aspects needing evaluation after the field assessment could be resolved to gain valuable outcomes. The USU Chemistry Master Study Program's performance and services can be enhanced, among other things.
"For the USU FMIPA Master of Chemistry Study Program to produce achievement results with constructive ideas from assessors, which will help us to improve our performance and service, several aspects of the Master's Program in Chemistry need to be reviewed as soon as possible," said USU Vice Chancellor IV for Information, Planning, and Development.
Dr. Nursahara Pasaribu, M.Sc, Dean of FMIPA USU, expressed his appreciation for the assessment team's participation. USU Master's Program in Chemistry, in collaboration with FMIPA USU, has made every effort to improve the study program. If, following the evaluation, some aspects need to be resolved for the USU Master's Program in Chemistry to continue to achieve "Excellent" accreditation, the program will continue to progress.
"This field assessment is carried out every five years to evaluate the progress or progress that the Master's Program in Chemistry has made because they have documented many achievements," said the Dean of FMIPA USU.
According to the Dean of FMIPA USU, the Head of the Master's Program in Chemistry, Dr. Marpongahtun M.Sc, expects that the USU Master's Program in Chemistry can sustain the Excellent accreditation of the previous five years.
"We hope that this Master's Program in Chemistry can maintain the Excellent accreditation that we have received over the last five years," said FMIPA USU's Head of the Master's Program in Chemistry
