USU PR - The Assessment Team from the Association of Indonesian Higher Health Education Independent Accreditation Institutions (LAM-PTKes) conducted an online Accreditation Assessment for FK Psychiatric Study Program Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) on March 24-25, 2022.
USU Chancellor Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Sc., said that this activity is an opportunity to evaluate what has been done and efforts to improve the quality of education, educators, as well as facilities and infrastructure.
"This is an effort to provide the best for graduate users and can improve the reputation of study programs and faculties, as well as the confidence of all leaders and the academic community, thereby increasing the quality of performance and achieving work program targets," he said.
According to him, this assessment is also an indicator of the implementation of the work that has been done and an evaluation of all existing deficiencies. Both in the academic and administrative service sectors, both internally and externally.
"I pray that this activity will produce the desired results as the fruit of the hard work and dedication that you have done to the Universitas Sumatera Utara," he said.
In addition, a good accreditation assessment of the Psychiatry Study Program of the USU Faculty of Medicine is also expected to further increase the enthusiasm of the leaders, lecturers and students in this study program, in producing various achievements, both in academic and non-academic fields.
On this occasion, the Chair of USU FK Psychiatric Study Program, Prof. Dr. dr. Elmeida Effendy, M.Ked, Sp.KJ(K) said the Psychiatry Study Program is also working to achieve superior accreditation this year and become a center of excellence for Mental Medicine Education that is able to compete at the global level in 2024.
"Psychiatry has also set a mission to provide quality Mental Medicine Education so that its graduates are able to compete in the global world," she said.
For information, the Psychiatry Study Program has also been certified to ISO 9001:2015 which is an international standard for Quality Management System Certification. This study program has also implemented the obligation to publish research in indexed international journals, namely Scopus. (©ULC)
