USU PR - Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) again received a visit from the Indonesian Higher Education Health Self-Accreditation Institute (LAM-PTKes) in the context of a field assessment of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Program, Faculty of Medicine USU. It took place at the FK USU Hall, 3rd floor, on Monday (06/11/2023).

USU Rector Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin S.Sos., M.Si, represented by Vice Rector I for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs of USU Dr. Edy Ikhsan S.H., M.A welcomed the arrival of 2 assessor teams from LAM-PTKes, namely Dr. dr. H. Nasrudin A.M, Sp.O.G. (K), MARS, M.Sc; with Prof. Dr. dr. Aryono Hendarto, MPH, Sp.A (K).

The USU Vice Rector I appreciated the achievements of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Program at FK USU related to partnerships with domestic and foreign institutions, which brought innovation in academic services. The collaboration designs learning programs such as visiting professors, joint research and publication, and provides space for the implementation of the tridharma of higher education.

"This is necessary to realize the learning outcomes of graduates, who are expected to produce competent Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist doctors," said Dr. Edy.

Dr. Edy Ikhsan S.H., M.A hopes that through this assessment, the assessors will get good information, evaluation and recommendations. So that the Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Program of FK USU gets the best recognition for the performance that has been done, by maintaining the previous status that has been accredited A to Superior.

"We hope that what the assessors see in this field assessment can describe the best things built by the Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Program of FK USU," explained Dr. Edy.

Dr. dr. H. Nasrudin A.M, Sp.O.G. (K), MARS, M.Sc; as the chief assessor explained that the field assessment activities consist of 9 main standard components, such as the vision and mission of the study program, resources and governance, alumni and students, curriculum and education, research and service, as well as outputs and outcomes including financial aspects.

"This field assessment activity actually has 9 main standard components. It seems that FK USU has been running very well and of course it will be evaluated again through this visitation," said Dr. Nasrudin.

The Dean of FK USU, Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe Sp.S (K), expressed his hope for the arrival of the two assessors from LAM-PTKes, which is expected to provide a lot of valuable input. This input will be the basis for continuing to make continuous improvements to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Program at FK USU.

"We will use this input as a foundation to continue to innovate in an effort to continuously improve the Obstetrics and Gynecology Study Program at FK USU." said Prof. Aldy
