PR USU - Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held the release of the Merdeka Mengajar 2 Platform (PMM2) and the Indonesian International Student Mobility Award (IISMA). The activity was held at the USU Student Center on Wednesday (8/10/2022).
Vice Rector I for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs at USU Dr. Edy Ikhsan SH. MA. conveyed several messages to 216 USU students who participated in the PMM program and 10 USU students in the IISMA program.
Some of the messages include so that students who take PMM2 and IISMA can become good USU ambassadors, quickly adapt to the culture and campus life they will visit, especially those who will go abroad to take IISMA, then stay in touch with USU and maintain safety during follow MBKM, keep in touch with family.
"I've told students earlier that be a good USU ambassador and quickly adapt to the campus culture, the culture of life, especially for students who will go abroad, then stay in contact with us at USU because this is to maintain their safety during the MBKM program," WR I USU said.
WR I USU also reminded USU students to be grateful that they had the opportunity to take part in this program because this program is the most prestigious MBKM program held by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture.
"I ask them to keep in touch with their parents and be grateful for this extraordinary opportunity because this is a very prestigious program from a number of MBKM programs held by the Ministry of Education and Culture," he said.
Dr. Edy Ikhsan SH, MA hopes that through this activity USU students can explore experiences at the university they will explore for the next semester. In addition, they are expected to become students who drive MBKM at USU.
"Explore all their experiences at the university where they will be placed for a semester and we hope that upon their return, these students are able to become MBKM drive at USU," Dr. Eddy said.
Director of the Directorate of Student Achievement and Alumni Relations, Doli Muhammad Jafar Dalimunthe, S.E., M.Sc., said the university is trying to accelerate the transformation of student character in the PMM and IISMA programs, later USU students who participate in the program can become agents of change. in USU's efforts to transform the character of creativity and achievement of USU students.
