The USU Faculty of Medicine has collaborated with the Dabo Regional Hospital on Singkep Island, Lingga Regency, Riau Islands Province, since 2021. The USU Faculty of Medicine has also sent final-stage PPDS doctors from Anesthesiology and Pediatrics to help improve health services at the Dabo Regional Hospital.
The Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara received a visit from the Director of Dabo Regional Hospital and the Head of Lingga Health Office, Riau Islands Province, dr. Bukit Tua Rayanto Gultom and staff, Tuesday (4/7/2023). The visit was welcomed directly by the Dean of the USU Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. dr. Aldy Safruddin Rambe, Sp.S (K), Vice Dean I, Dr. dr. Delyuzar, M.Ked (PA), Sp.PA (K), and staff.
The visit agenda related to Coordinating the Implementation of the Resident Program, the Regional Government PPDS Scholarship Program Plan, and the Resident Doctor Needs Plan for Dabo Regional Hospital. At the end of the event, both parties exchanged souvenirs.
Prof. Aldi explained that the USU Faculty of Medicine has been collaborating with Dabo Regional Hospital on Singkep Island, Lingga Regency, Riau Islands Province, since 2021. The USU Faculty of Medicine has also sent final-stage PPDS doctors from Anesthesiology and Pediatrics to help improve health services at Dabo Regional Hospital.
During the visit, the Head of the Lingga District Health Office, the Director of Dabo Hospital, and their entourage requested that support for final-stage PPDS doctors in Neurology, ENT-BKL, Radiology, and Eyes be expanded.
"USU's Faculty of Medicine is always ready to support improving the quality of health services in various regions, including Dabo Hospital. To follow up on the expansion of this cooperation, the USU FK team will again visit Dabo Hospital to assess the readiness of the facilities and infrastructure needed," he explained. (RJ)
