Vice Rector III for Research, Community Service, and USU Cooperation Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, M.Sc., Apt said, this activity that supports campus internationalization is an interesting program because apart from discussing academic activities, there is also a cultural exchange.

PR USU - Faculty of Agriculture (FP) Unversitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a Summer Course program with the topic "The 1st TALENTA Agirculture". This activity took place online through a zoom meeting on Tuesday (7/26/2022).

Vice Rector III for Research, Community Service, and USU Cooperation Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, M.Sc., Apt said, this activity that supports campus internationalization is an interesting program because apart from discussing academic activities, there is also a cultural exchange.

"Later, it can be seen in the flyer, so it will not only discuss lectures or academic activities but also interesting activities, namely exchanging cultures, then there are activities outside of going to various regions to see how the culture in Indonesia is," Prof. Poppy said.

Vice Rector III also said that this program aims to broaden the horizons of USU students because in this program USU students exchange views with foreign students related to information from the fields they are studying.

"In addition to accommodating internationalization, it also opens the horizons of our students to meet students from other countries so they can exchange ideas, exchange views from information related to the fields they are studying," he explained.

Vice Dean III of USU's FP Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti M.Si. said the summer course program at USU's FP held three study programs including, Agrotechnology, Food Technology, and Agricultural and Industrial Technology. This activity was attended by more than 50 participants both from within and outside the country with around 20 universities involved.

Through this activity, the Head of Agrotechnology Study Program, Dr. Nini Rahmawati SP., M.Sc. It is hoped that this program can introduce USU to the outside world as well as become a place to build good relations with various universities abroad.

"My hope is that we hope that this activity can introduce USU more to the outside world as well as become one of the venues for fostering good relations with various universities abroad," said Dr. Nini (©ULC)
