USU Academic Senate Visits FEB, Discusses Strengthening Communication and Academic Development

USU PUBLIC RELATIONS — The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU) welcomed a visit from the USU Academic Senate on Tuesday (September 1, 2026). The meeting discussed various academic developments at FEB USU, ranging from the delivery of education and faculty aspirations to efforts to improve academic quality across Universitas Sumatera Utara.
During the meeting, Chair of the USU Academic Senate, Prof. Dr. Drs. Budi Agustono, M.S., stated that the visit was a form of communication between the Academic Senate and the faculty, providing an opportunity for both parties to listen to one another and exchange input on academic development.
“This is all part of our communication efforts to listen to one another, provide input, and build stronger communication. In this way, the Academic Senate and the faculty can establish a more comfortable environment for creating a more progressive teaching and learning process as well as academic activities,” he said.
He explained that the various inputs discussed during the visit were related to academic activities at FEB USU. According to him, direct communication with the faculty is an important step toward identifying its needs and challenges in supporting improvements in academic performance.

Meanwhile, Dean of FEB USU, Dr. Abdillah Arif Nasution, S.E., M.Si. Ak, CA., QGIA, CHRS, expressed his appreciation for the presence of the USU Academic Senate team. He said the visit provided an opportunity for FEB USU to convey various aspirations, challenges, and issues requiring attention in the faculty’s development.
“I am very grateful and pleased with the visit of the Academic Senate team to the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Sumatera Utara. With the Academic Senate team visiting us, we have the opportunity to convey the challenges we face at the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Sumatera Utara,” he said.
Furthermore, Dr. Abdillah Arif Nasution stated that the suggestions and feedback provided by the Academic Senate would serve as valuable input for FEB USU’s evaluation, improvement, and future development.
