The commitment to equal access to education is also reflected through scholarship programs provided to students as part of promoting social justice in higher education. The Directorate of Admission and Student Services of Universitas Sumatera Utara remains committed to improving the dissemination of scholarship information for students.

The following scholarships are currently available for students of Universitas Sumatera Utara:

PT Adaro Indonesia Scholarship 2026–2027

1. Registration through faculties is open until May 26, 2026
2. Available specifically for undergraduate (S1) and applied undergraduate (D4) students from recommended faculties/study programs
3. Registration is conducted through the Student Affairs Office of the respective faculty/study program
4. Scholarship benefits include a monthly allowance of IDR 850,000 for one year (August 2026 – July 2027)

Pertamina Foundation Sobat Bumi Scholarship 2026

1. Registration is open until May 31, 2026
2. Open for S1, D4, and D3 students
3. Registration is conducted online through Pertamina Foundation
4. Scholarship benefits include tuition fee assistance and living cost support

Djarum Scholarship Plus 2026/2027

1. Registration is open until June 10, 2026
2. Open for S1 and D4 students from all academic disciplines
3. Registration is conducted online through Djarum Beasiswa Plus Registration
4. Scholarship benefits include financial assistance of IDR 1,000,000 per month for one year (November 2026 – October 2027)

Amartha STEAM Fellowship 2026

1. Registration is open until June 21, 2026
2. Specifically for female undergraduate students from Civil Engineering and Industrial Engineering study programs
3. Registration is conducted online through Amartha STEAM Fellowship
4. Scholarship benefits include tuition assistance of up to IDR 5,000,000 per semester and living cost support of IDR 1,000,000 per month
