HUMAS USU - Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., received a visit from the Head of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) of North Sumatra on Wednesday (20/05/2026) at the Rector’s Audience Room of USU. The visit was conducted as part of a cordial gathering and an effort to strengthen institutional relations between USU and OJK North Sumatra.

The audience meeting was also attended by the Secretary of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Ir. Ikhsan Siregar, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., along with representatives from OJK North Sumatra.

During the meeting, the Rector of USU expressed appreciation for the visit from OJK North Sumatra as a reflection of the shared commitment to building synergy between higher education institutions and the financial services sector in North Sumatra.

“We warmly welcome this visit as a step toward strengthening collaboration between USU and OJK, particularly in supporting the improvement of public literacy and understanding of the financial services sector,” he stated.

The Head of OJK North Sumatra, Khoirul Muttaqien, explained that the meeting served as an important momentum to strengthen cooperation with universities, especially in supporting financial literacy and financial inclusion programs among the academic community.

He added that universities play a strategic role in building awareness and understanding among the younger generation regarding financial management and the development of the financial services sector in Indonesia.

Through this activity, it is hoped that the positive relationship between USU and OJK North Sumatra will continue to grow and contribute positively to educational development, the improvement of financial literacy, and stronger inter-institutional collaboration in North Sumatra.
