This international collaborative research analyzes the implications of sustainable digital economy in Indonesia and Malaysia, focusing on SMEs’ digital orientation and the use of Internet of Things. Using a quantitative approach with SEM analysis, the study emphasizes the importance of digital platforms in driving efficiency, productivity, and the growth of digital economic value.

Prof. Dr. Isfenti Sadalia, S.E., M.E and the team conducted international collaborative research on the implications of a sustainable digital economy. Digital orientation has an impact on the digital transformation of MSMEs by increasing efficiency and productivity.

Digital transformation cannot be separated from the internet of things which is a rapidly developing technology in today's era. IoT helps the development of the digital economy in Indonesia. This shows the need to expand digital pla-forms for MSMEs. Thus, increasing digitalization can encourage an increase in the value of the digital economy. The population of this study is Indonesia and Malaysia MSMEs.

This research aims to determine the relationship between digital orientation and the internet of things in a sustainable digital economy through digital platforms. The number of samples to be studied is 170 business actors. To test the validity and suitability of the model, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used. The research method uses a quantitative approach. Quantitative analysis uses a structural equation model. The results of this research are expected to improve our current understanding of the digital economy. This research also produces Intellectual Property Rights.
