About the Sobat Bumi Scholarship Program 2025

The Sobat Bumi Scholarship Program 2025 is awarded to undergraduate students who excel academically, actively participate in organizations or social-community activities, demonstrate environmental awareness, and study at Pertamina Foundation partner universities, including Universitas Sumatera Utara (under the Regular Sobat Bumi Scholarship category).

Scholarship Components (Regular Category)

The scholarship is granted for a maximum of 8 semesters for S-1/D4 students and 6 semesters for D3 students, or until they graduate. The components include:

• Tuition Fee Assistance (SPP/UKT): Rp 3,000,000 per semester for non-Java, non-Papua regions (including Universitas Sumatera Utara).
• Living Allowance: Rp 750,000 per month.
• Capacity Building and Character Building Programs.

Eligibility Requirements

• Indonesian citizen.
• Enrolled at a Pertamina Foundation partner university (Universitas Sumatera Utara).
• Active undergraduate (S-1) students currently in Semester II – VI (not on academic leave).
• Minimum GPA/IPK: >3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
• Actively involved in organizations/social or environmental activities.
• Not receiving any other scholarships from January 2025 – December 2026.
• No history of drug abuse or criminal activities.
• English proficiency certificates (TOEFL/IELTS) are preferred.
• Submit an essay on the theme:
  “Small Steps, Big Impact: My Innovation Towards a Green Environment.”

Essay Submission Guidelines

General Requirements

• Open to Sobat Bumi Scholarship 2025 applicants.
• Must be an original and individually written work.
• Written in Bahasa Indonesia.
• Must include at least three supporting photos.
• Title: Maximum 10 words.

Writing Format

• Length: 3–10 pages (excluding cover/title page and references, if any).
• Paper size: A4, Margins: 3 cm (top, bottom, left, right).
• Font: Times New Roman/Arial, size 11.
• Spacing: 1.5.
• Submission format: PDF with file name: FullName_University_Title.
