Beasiswa Unggulan 2023

Beasiswa Unggulan is the funding of education by the Indonesian government to the best Indonesian young generation at universities receiving students of the Beasiswa Unggulan program at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels.

Featured Scholarships consist of:

1. Beasiswa Masyarakat Berprestasi is an outstanding scholarship given to people who have intellectual, emotional, and spiritual abilities to pursue education at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels. 
2. Beasiswa Unggulan given to employees of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology to pursue education at the master's and doctoral levels.
3. Beasiswa Unggulan given to people with disabilities to pursue education at the master's and doctoral levels.
4. Beasiswa Unggulan Penghargaan is an outstanding scholarship given in the form of government awards to biological children of parents who died in carrying out state duties and/or service to the state and determined by the government to pursue education.

Masyarakat Berprestasi Program Registration Requirements

1. General Requirements

   1. Preferably have certificates that prove academic/non-academic achievements at the international and/or national level;
   2. Get recommendations from related institutions; 
   3. Not currently receiving similar scholarships from other sources; 
   4. Have never taken education at the same level; 
   5. Accepted at domestic universities that have been accredited at least B / Very Good and at study programs accredited at least B / Very Good or at universities abroad recognized by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology; 
   6. Not having status as lecturers, teachers, education personnel, and cultural actors; 
   7. Scholarships are only intended for regular classes and not for the following classes: Executive Class, Special Class, Employee Class, Distance Class, International Class for applicants for domestic study purposes; and 
   8. Classes are held in more than 1 (one) university country.
   9. Committed to maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.00 in the Bachelor program (S1), or a minimum GPA of 3.25 in the Master's and Doctoral programs while being a recipient of the Beasiswa Unggulan.

2. Specific Requirements

   1. Undergraduate Scholarship Program

      1. Secondary education graduates who graduated in the current year or maximum graduated 2 (two) years earlier;
      2. Have an acceptance letter/graduation statement / Unconditional Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the university for new students; 
      3. Have a statement of active student status from the dean of the university faculty; 
      4. For ongoing undergraduate students (S1) who have started the maximum lecture in semester 3 or have proof of report card maximum semester
      5. 2 and have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.25 (three point two five) on a scale of 4 (four);
      6. Have Bahasa Indonesia skills, as evidenced by a certificate issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture Language Development Agency for domestic and foreign universities;
      7. Have English language skills as proven by a certificate for overseas universities with a minimum score of; ITP / PBT: 500, PTE Academic: 34, IBT: 52, IELTS: 5.0; 
      8. Make a written essay in Bahasa Indonesia with the following provisions:
         1. Title/Theme: "My contribution to Indonesia after completing my studies"; 
         2. Written in an essay column of at least 1,000 words and at most 1,500 words; 
         3. The essay includes; a self-description, a description of what role will be performed, and a description of how to realize the role.
   2. Master's Scholarship Program
      1. Not entering the age of 32 (thirty-two) years on December 31 of the registration year for new students or not entering the age of 33 (thirty-three) years for those who are currently studying; 
      2. Have an acceptance letter/graduation statement / Unconditional Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the university for new students;
      3. Have a statement of active student status from the dean of the faculty/postgraduate director of the university; 
      4. For ongoing students of the master's program (S2) who have started the maximum lecture in semester 3 or have proof of report card maximum semester 2 and has a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.25 (three point two five) on a scale of 4 (four); 
      5. Have an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.25 (three point two five) on a scale of 4 (four);
      6. Have Bahasa Indonesia proficiency, as proven by a certificate issued by the Language Development and Guidance Agency of the Ministry of Education and Culture for domestic and foreign universities;
      7. Have English language skills as proven by a certificate for overseas universities with a minimum score of; ITP / PBT: 550, PTE Academic: 58, IBT: 80, IELTS: 6.5; 
      8. Have a study plan with the following conditions;
         1. Contains an overview of the reasons for choosing the field/program; 
         2. The topic that will be written in the thesis; 
         3. Study plan from the beginning of the semester until completion; and 
         4. The study plan document is uploaded in the column provided in the system.
      9. Submit an essay/composition/writing using Bahasa Indonesia with the following conditions;
         1. Title/Theme: "My contribution to Indonesia after completing my studies";
         2. Written in an essay column of at least 1,500 words and at most 2,000 words; and 
         3. The essay includes; a self-description, a description of what role will be performed, and a description of how to realize the role.

   3. Doctoral Scholarship Program

      1. Belum memasuki usia 46 (empat puluh enam) tahun pada tanggal 31 Desember tahun pendaftaran bagi mahasiswa baru atau belum memasuki usia 47 (empat puluh tujuh) tahun untuk yang sedang menempuh perkuliahan; 
      2. Memiliki surat penerimaan/keterangan lulus/Letter of Acceptance (LoA) Unconditional dari perguruan tinggi bagi mahasiswa baru; 
      3. Memiliki surat keterangan aktif kuliah minimal dari dekan fakultas/direktur pascasarjana perguruan tinggi; 
      4. Bagi mahasiswa on-going program doktor (S3), yang sudah memulai perkuliahan maksimal sedang berada di semester 3 atau memiliki bukti KHS maksimal semester 2 dan memiliki nilai Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) paling rendah 3,40 (tiga koma empat) pada skala 4 (empat); 
      5. Memiliki nilai IPK S2 paling rendah 3,40 (tiga koma empat) pada skala 4 (empat);
      6. Memiliki kemampuan Bahasa Indonesia, dibuktikan dengan sertifikat yang diterbitkan oleh Badan Pengembangan dan Pembinaan Bahasa Kemendikbudristek untuk tujuan perguruan tinggi dalam negeri dan luar negeri;
      7. Memiliki kemampuan Bahasa Inggris yang dibuktikan dengan sertifikat untuk tujuan perguruan tinggi luar negeri dengan skor minimal; ITP/PBT: 550, PTE Academic: 58, IBT: 80, IELTS: 6.5; 
      8. Memiliki proposal penelitian disertasi dengan ketentuan;
         1. proposal sekurang-kurangnya memuat; judul, latar belakang, rumusan masalah, pertanyaan penelitian, metode, manfaat, kesimpulan dan saran, dan daftar Pustaka; dan 
         2. dokumen proposal penelitian disertasi diunggah pada kolom yang tersedia di sistem
      9. Menyerahkan essay/karangan/karya tulis menggunakan Bahasa Indonesia dengan ketentuan sebagai berikut; 
         1. Judul/tema: “Kontribusiku untuk Indonesia setelah menyelesaikan studi”;
         2. Ditulis pada kolom essay paling sedikit 1.500 kata dan paling banyak 2.000 kata; dan 
         3. Essay meliputi; deskripsi diri, deskripsi peran apa yang akan dilakukan, dan deskripsi cara mewujudkan peran tersebut.

3. Kelengkapan Berkas

   Kelengkapan berkas yang harus diperhatikan adalah sebagai berikut:

   1. Kartu Tanda Penduduk (KTP).  
   2. Kartu Tanda Mahasiswa (khusus On-Going).
   3. Surat Penerimaan/Keterangan Lulus/LoA Unconditional dari Perguruan Tinggi. 
   4. Surat Keterangan Aktif Kuliah yang diterbitkan oleh Perguruan Tinggi. 
   5. Kartu Hasil Studi (KHS) semester 1 dan 2 (khusus On-Going). 
   6. Ijazah dan transkrip nilai terakhir. 
   7. Sertifikat Bahasa Indonesia untuk tujuan perguruan tinggi dalam negeri dan luar negeri yang diterbitkan oleh Badan Pengembangan dan Pembinaan Bahasa Kemendikbudristek.
   8. Sertifikat Bahasa Inggris untuk tujuan perguruan tinggi luar negeri. 
   9. Rencana studi bagi program magister
   10. Proposal penelitian disertasi bagi program doktor. 
   11. Surat rekomendasi dari akademisi atau institusi terkait.
   12. Surat pernyataan pendaftar Beasiswa Unggulan.
