The Master's Program in Agrotechnology at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) is an advanced study for graduates of the Bachelor of Agrotechnology. This program aims to prepare experts who are able to develop and apply the latest technology in the agricultural sector. Students of this program will study various aspects of agriculture, ranging from crop cultivation techniques, natural resource management, to the use of information technology in agriculture. This aims to improve agricultural productivity and sustainability, as well as provide a strong understanding of effective and sustainable agricultural practices.
Since its establishment in 1952, the program has focused on interactive and effective learning led by experts in the field. The program's commitment is to train students to become future agricultural experts who are skilled and competent in their fields. Graduates of the USU Master's Program in Agrotechnology have extensive career opportunities in various agricultural sectors. The title given to students who complete this program is Master of Agrotechnology (M.Agr.).

Education
To deliver Master’s-level higher education based on a competency-based curriculum, producing graduates who are adaptable and competitive at the global level.
Research
To develop research and a strong scientific culture oriented toward issues in agricultural science and technology (plant breeding, agronomy, land resources, plant pests and diseases), based on local commodities in food crops, horticulture, and plantations, as a foundation for developing sustainable agricultural industries that contribute to community welfare.
