Goal 3
Empowering Lives and Nurturing Well-Being, Creating a Healthy Future, One Step Ahead.
Good Health and Well-Being represent the pursuit of better health and overall well-being in Indonesia. This topic is also a key focus of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiated by the United Nations. The background of this program is based on the fact that access to quality healthcare services remains a challenge for a significant portion of Indonesia's population. Issues such as high maternal and infant mortality rates, the prevalence of communicable and non-communicable diseases, and disparities in healthcare access remain serious concerns. This program aims to improve the overall health of the Indonesian population and ensure fair access to quality healthcare services. Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) is committed to supporting health and well-being programs in Indonesia through research, education, and community empowerment. The Faculty of Medicine and other health-related faculties at USU play a crucial role in producing qualified medical professionals, conducting innovative research in the healthcare sector, and providing equitable healthcare services to the community. Through collaboration with the government, healthcare institutions, and other partners, USU is dedicated to driving positive change in Indonesia’s healthcare sector and enhancing the overall quality of life for its people.
