USU Secretary Leads First Morning Assembly of 2024

USU PR- Directorate of Student Achievements and Alumni Relations (Ditmawalumni USU) held a reflection session on the performance and achievements of each unit within the USU Secretariat. This was conveyed during the inaugural morning assembly in 2024 at the Central Administration Building Courtyard of USU on Monday (01/08/2024).


The morning assembly, led by the USU Secretary, was attended by every unit under its purview, including the Public Relations, Protocol, and Promotion Division; the USU Archive Division; the USU Administrative Division; the USU Integrated Service Unit Division; and the Heads of Subdivisions within the USU Secretariat.


In his address, Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar M.Ked(OG), Sp.O.G., Subsp.F.E.R. expressed appreciation and reflection on the performance and achievements of units within the USU Secretariat. He also thanked everyone for their hard work, intelligence, cooperation, and dedication in their respective roles. The results aligned with expectations, indicating commitment and significant contributions from the entire team.


"I appreciate our hard work that has yielded results as expected, demonstrating the commitment and significant contribution from all units of the USU Secretariat," Prof. Fidel said.


Furthermore, Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar M.Ked(OG), Sp.O.G, Subsp.F.E.R. outlined the achievements of their units. The Archive Office received an Excellent predicate in external supervision from the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) for the state university category. It was also reported that the destruction of finance bureau archives from 2004 to 2014 and many other achievements have been accomplished.


"We also received awards for the 2nd best archive unit and the best archive manager in 2023," added Prof. Fidel.


Finally, Prof. Dr. dr. Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar M.Ked(OG), Sp.O.G, Subsp.F.E.R. stated that the proposed breakthroughs in the future will be related to the assessment pattern according to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbud Ristek) guidelines. The main goal is to achieve the vision and mission set by the university leadership, promoting USU's progress towards internationalization.


"We must make breakthroughs to support USU's reputation. With the achievements in 2023, the challenges in 2024 will undoubtedly be even greater," explained Prof. Fidel.


Amalia Meutia, M.Psi., a Psychologist and Head of Public Relations, Promotion, and Protocol at USU, as one of the working units in the USU Secretariat, hoped for even better achievements in the future. The development of various strategies to support the university's goals, combined with solid teamwork and high spirits, is expected to be the key to achieving these objectives.


"Of course, in line with what the USU Secretary mentioned, each unit hopes to achieve even better accomplishments in the future," Amalia expressed.
