USU Achieves Informativeness Award for the Third Time

USU PR- The Rector of USU, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., accompanied by the Head of Public Relations, Promotion, and Protocol Amalia Meutia, M.PSi., Psychologist, attended the award ceremony for the Public Information Openness Awards 2023 at the Vice President's Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (12/19/2023).


Rector Prof. Muryanto Amin directly received the award from the Chairman of the Central Information Commission (KI), Dr. Donny Yoesgiantoro, witnessed by the Vice President of Indonesia, KH Ma’ruf Amin, who mentioned in his speech that the number of public bodies with the "Informatif" predicate has increased since 2008, from only 15 public bodies to 139 in 2023.


Vice President KH Ma’ruf Amin hoped that the Public Information Openness Awards event could encourage public bodies to continue transforming into more open entities as a form of accountability to the public.


Rector Prof. Muryanto Amin expressed gratitude to the Central Information Commission (KI) for awarding the "Informatif" predicate to USU. According to the rector, information openness is necessary for USU to fulfill the law's mandate.


"We strive to provide information to the public through various media channels. This effort is made as a form of USU's commitment to building transparency and providing accurate, fast, and easily accessible information," he said.


Head of Public Relations, Promotion, and Protocol Amalia Meutia, M.Psi., Psychologist, was grateful for the award received. USU has successfully received the "Informatif" predicate for three consecutive years. "The scores obtained also continue to increase yearly," she said.


She explained that this proves that the USU Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) is consistent and progressive in providing public information services.

"Of course, this best result is achieved through long-term preparation, hard work from the Public Relations Team, and collaboration with other units at the university to ensure the availability of data needed during e-monitoring of the Public Information Openness. The commitment of USU's leadership is also extraordinary in supporting this achievement," she emphasized.


In his report, Chairman of the Central Information Commission Doni Yusgiantoro stated that in 2023, out of 369 public bodies, 139 qualified as "Informatif"(informative) Then, 43 public bodies qualified as heading towards "Informatif,"(informative), 13 as "Cukup Informatif" (Sufficiently Informative), 27 as "Kurang Informatif" (Less Informative), and 147 as "Tidak Informatif" (Not Informative).
