USU PR: USU (Universitas Sumatera Utara) actively encourages its students to participate in outbound activities, internships, and research abroad to achieve internationalization. One of these programs is offered by the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) in Pakistan.

Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a technical briefing on the World Class University research program in 2023. This activity occurred on Monday (30/01/2023) in the LP USU Seminar room.

Apart from the Indonesia Youth Researcher of USU at ICCBS Karachi, the speakers included Pakistani Youth Researcher of ICCBS Karachi, Mr. Taimor Ahmed from Atma Jaya University, Mr. Zeeshan from UGM and Mr. Kamran Ali from ITB.

"Standardization carried out by Stanford certainly goes through a strict mechanism and assessment, we are grateful that our two lecturers were able to meet these standards, and of course this must be appreciated and we hope that it can be passed on to others, so that next year USU can contribute even more lecturers. who has been named as an influential scientist," the Rector said.

Secretary of USU Attends Patent Workshop of the Director General of Intellectual Property Rights of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights "God willing, in 2022 we will be able to enter the top 10 again. The more patents we submit for assessment, the more patents we issue, the more indexes there will be," said Prof. Fidel.

"We hope that these students will continue to communicate with their mentors and make improvements and changes in relation to the presentations they will be doing later. Also for making posters including for public speaking everything will be prepared and we hope that they will enjoy the process and we pray that they are able to achieve great results," USU Vice Rector I explained.

Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si said that this conference was able to provide information regarding how to increase resilience in the new normal era by working together, as well as ensuring a sustainable future with various health problems that require attention

The Rector of USU appreciated the interesting theme raised in IICoLA. In this activity that can improve academic quality, it is hoped that there will be discussions in the form of joint research, discussing solutions to various problems, sharing experiences, as well as listening to various ideas from the audience.

Prof. Basyuni said he was very happy because he was able to contribute to USU's IKU 3 as a Science Leadership Collaborative mentor for 9 months. He hopes that more USU lecturers will get this opportunity.
