LPTQ USU Student Activity Unit
LPTQ USU is one of the student activity units at USU that focuses on spirituality for Muslim students and serves as a platform for the development of Quran recitation skills for its members. Established on December 21, 2017, this student activity unit has been instrumental in encouraging its members to achieve excellence in Quran recitation competitions at regional and national levels. It is a suitable platform for USU students who wish to discover and enhance their interests and talents in the field of Quranic knowledge and skills. LPTQ USU is guided by the principle of creating a generation of Quranic achievers. For USU students who aim to excel in Quran recitation competitions, enhance their soft skills, improve their capacity for Quranic knowledge, and expand their network of fellow believers, this student activity unit is a thoughtful choice.

Kafilah USU Release at the XVII MTQMN at Universitas Brawijaya, Malang
Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) proudly sent 28 cafila members to compete in the 17th Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an Nasional (MTQMN or National Quran Recitation Competition), organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology at Universitas Brawijaya, Malang. The event was attended by the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., and the deans of faculties within USU. The release of the cafila, which took place at the Professor Suhadji Hadibroto Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Business on November 1, 2023, is proof of USU's commitment to supporting the development and improvement of the quality of MTQMN participants as well as a manifestation of the spirit of fostering religious education that continues to be instilled in the campus environment.
Prophet Muhammad Saw.'s Mawlid Book Recitation Competition at the XVII MTQMN at Universitas Brawijaya, Malang
Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) sent a team to compete in the field of the Prophet Muhammad’s Mawlid Book Recitation (MMN) at the 17th Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an Nasional (MTQMN or National Quran Recitation Competition). At the event, which took place on November 5, 2023, at the Gazebo of Brawijaya University Malang, the team from USU, better known as the Maulid USU Team, won 1st place. This brilliant achievement is clear evidence of the quality and commitment of USU in developing religious and cultural activities and upholding Islamic values.
Kafilah USU Attends MTQMN Opening Ceremony
A total of 20 cafila members from Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) attended the opening ceremony of Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an Nasional (MTQMN or Na Quran Recitation Competition), which was held on November 4, 2023. Their participation in the event held at Samantha Krida Building, Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, is proof of USU's commitment to supporting and actively participating in improving the quality and interest in religious and cultural activities at the national level.
