USU Student Financial Aid (BBM) Scholarship Year 2023

I. GENERAL CONDITIONS

 

A. STUDENT STATUS

  1. Prospective recipients are students of the Universitas Sumatera Utara.
  2. Prospective recipients are active students in the Diploma and Undergraduate education levels.

 

B. DURATION

Scholarships are awarded to active students based on the current fiscal year period and are awarded for 1 (one) year or 2 (two) semesters.

 

C. QUOTA AND UNIT PRICE

The quota is 500 students for all Faculties from all Regular tracks. The amount of financial aid in 2023 is IDR 2,100,000.00 (two million one hundred rupiahs) per student per semester for one year.

 

II. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

 

A. REQUIREMENTS

  1. Undergraduate / Diploma IV / Diploma III level, at least in the second semester and at most in the sixth semester for Undergraduate and Diploma IV level, at least in the second semester and at most in the fourth semester for Diploma III level; 
  2. Minimum GPA 2.75; 
  3. Coming from economically disadvantaged families (preferably students recorded in the DTKS Ministry of Social Affairs); 
  4. Not currently receiving scholarships, working and or being in official bound status from other institutions/agencies;

 

B. DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS

  2. Photocopy of Student Identity Card (KTM), for students who do not have KTM, please print the front of the student academic portal, which has the name and student ID number; 
  3. Photocopy of Student Result Card (KHS) last semester legalized by the Faculty; 
  4. Photocopy of Family Card (KK); 
  5. Certificate from the Social Service that is registered with the Ministry of Social Affairs DTKS (students from families participating in the Keluarga Harapan Program (PKH), holders of Prosperous Family Cards (KKS) and/or Certificate of Disadvantage from the Village Head / Village of origin and/or Income Certificate from the Village Head / Village of origin and/or Parents' Salary Slip from the place of work; 
  6. Photo of the house where you live; (front, living room, and kitchen) 
  7. Certificate of the amount of the electricity meter of the house where you live from PLN or Kelurahan / Village; (450, 900, 1300, and so on); 
  8. Letter from social institutions/orphanages if students live in social institutions/orphanages (if any); 
  9. Application letter and statement of not receiving scholarships / other tuition assistance from APBN / APBD sources known by the Faculty Leader; (download here); 
  10. Recommendation from the Faculty leader (Form in the Student Affairs of each Faculty) (download here);

All required documents are collected at the Office of the Directorate of Student Achievement and Alumni Affairs of the Rectorate of the Universitas Sumatera Utara using GREEN MAP writing the format on the front of the folder Name - Student ID Number - Faculty - Study Program - Phone Number - Type of Scholarship during the office hours.
